Day19: Something I Hate to do

One of the chores I hate to do: cleaning my brushes!!

Despite how annoying it is, its really important and has to be done more often than u imagine.

I clean my eyeliner and foundation brushes everyday/after each use to avoid bacteria - whatever goes to your eyes needs double care, and the liquid left on the foundation brush is a perfect place for bacterial rave party!

For other brushes, i clean them with brush cleanser (such as the MAC one here, super easy to use) as often as possible, and shampoo them every 2 weeks.. or... when i have time haha. Too lazy :p

Day10: Self Portrait

My cousin's son Glen - had loads of fun taking picture of himself! haha... isnt he super cute and handsome?

Day11: Makes me happy

I see this boy every morning while I'm waiting for the bus to work... he's so adorable cheers up me everyday!

Day12: Inside my closet

I love the mirror my friends sent me on my birthday (while I was in England)... after I graduated I brought it back to Hong Kong and now it's in my closet!

Day13: Blue

My pajama pants!!!

Day14: Heart

I was looking around the house for a snack, and my mum found this potato chips I bought in Korea few months ago. It's cheese flavoured (so yum!) and, surprisingly, heart-shaped!!

When you're (or your friends/family) going Korea next time be sure to check out the snacks from Market O, they do great snacks!! My favourite (which is sooo popular now even in HK) is their brownies - it's not too sweet and the texture is so light.. every bite is like wowwww!

Day15: Phone

Since the invention of smart phone and 3G (4G soon!), life hasnt been more convenient and it's just so easy to connect with people and get updates anytime, anywhere. I'm a real sucker for Apple stuff.

Day16: Something New

Bought a ring from Accessorize, super cute!! Loveeee the blingbling eyes!

Day17: Time

We cant change what happened in the past, but we have the power to change the future.

Day18: Drink

My friend's house warming party tonight, I brought a bottle of Moscato to go with the cinnamon bread, nachos, pizza, chicken, pasta... Perfect!

hello! told you Cora is super knowledgeable in the make-up department didn't i? haha now i have to buy those blingbling blush to highlight my cheekbones (although there isn't much bone on my face, more like just fat =.=) and now i'm back with more photos for the feb-photo-a-day challenge.

feb 9: front door

haha see how lazy i am! still have my snowman and bell from christmas on the front door. but whatever, they make me happy :D

feb 10: self-portrait

i dont often take portraits of myself but i do take many with friends and the boy. Here's one with my friend who has just completed her PhD! congratz Dr Nicole! and a big hurray to our ginormous purple hats. they would look so nice on Blair (yes! i am a huge Gossip Girl fan too)!

good friend Chloe coming to visit and bringing my new best friend Llameo the llama! good food and good company always make me super happy.

 

feb 12:  inside your closet

i have a very small closet and 2/3 of it is filled with the boy's shirts (because i conquered all the other shelves in the house lol). i miss the humungous walk-in closets i used to have when i was in the States! they were so big i could fit a whole bed in there, no kidding...

 

feb 13: blue

this is by yoshitomo nara. one of my fave artists. his work is dark but cute, sad but interesting. i just loveeee those big scary eyes so much!

 

feb 14: heart

did you have a good v-day? i used to go around and play pranks on people by leaving them rocks and sand as v-day presents... anyway i had a great day this year with lots of good food and beautiful flowers and happy memories. the boy and i went to Las Iguanas for dinner and it was sooooooo good. i had something called the Extraordinary TinTim which is basically creamy coconut chicken in a hotpot with rice and plantain. and delicious bread and olives (<-- my ultimate sin) and sweet potato fries and yummy cherry cocktail. and of course a lovely card with the cutest heart on it.

i love green. i have three green bears. i own many green things. my phone is no exception.

Day1: My View Today

On my way home... more than amazed that flowers can be this pretty at night..

Day2: Words

I was just telling my friend how "junky" my leisure time has become: wandering around Internet, lolling on sofa watching endless series etc etc... this isn't right... I NEED wordssss

Haha yes I know I know.... it's just magazine, not exactly educating.. but it's a start - I'm tired from work!!

Day 3: Hands

In winter my hands can get somewhat utterly dry... esp after soap! My bestie at work got me this rose scented L'Occitane hand cream... absolutely silky and soothing. Smells gorgeous!

Day 4: A Stranger

Loving my Emily the Strange phone case... lol

Day 5: 10am

Well 10a.m. isn't exactly my favourite hour of the day. On weekdays it's the busiest hour when I have to struggle not to fall asleep at work! 10am today I got to take a break and enjoy slices of homemade bread (yes! my mum has been making bread at home with a "bread machine"!) and a cup of camomile tea :)

Day 6: Dinner

Thank you, Lu - my cutest friend on earth!! Love the food, love the ambience...
Thanks for always being here for me. Even when life goes wrong, I have strength to go on...

Day 7: Button

I'm gonna say these earrings look like buttons just for me to show them here lol... totally obsessed with them since I bought them from Accessorize 2 years ago.

Day 8: Sun

Okay, sorry but this one I will have to cheat. Weather in Hong Kong has been rather moody... and it caught me thinking about the times in Italy when I got some intensed sunlight every single day..

February photo a day challenge

So one of the many blogs I have been following is Fat mum slim's and she just recently started a photo project called the February photo a day challenge. Definitely go check out her blog since she is a really intriguing writer with lots of fun photos and stories. And this is such a great idea to document your days with a photo a day -- imagine how much fun it would be to look at them again in a year's time!

I'm hoping to start this project and actually be able to remember doing it everyday and posting my photos here! First off, let me bomb you with all the photos of the days that I have missed in February!

feb 1: my view today
Getting cold in Oxford. Ducks walking on the frozen river. They looked so cute!

feb 2: words
One of the things I do when I'm bored -- Chinese calligraphy. I'm totally an amateur though so don't judge please :S

feb 3: hands
The Boy's hands, holding our fave cheese (jalapeno!!) with crackers. Oh yes we snack way too often way too much.

feb 4: a stranger
Not exactly a human-stranger, but definitely a cute stranger at my house! Scorch the blue dragon is the latest addition to my animal kingdom :D

feb 5: 10am
I am totally a sleepbaby. I sleep 10 hours and more a day, or I cannot function. Envy me now, I wake up at 10am usually...

feb 6: dinner
I love cooking although I can't do anything fancy. Here's an example of a typical meal -- pan fried salmon with potatoes and broccoli. Super yummy and nutritious!

feb 7: button
For some reason, I was feeling really lazy and didn't want to move at all when I was thinking of today's theme... that explains why I have captured Paddington's bright yellow buttons, instead of real ones on my coats.

feb 8: sun
Sadly Mr Sun in Oxford has been having a vacation lately; haven't seen him for awhile now! I thought this pretty sunset would make up for it though. Double suns outside my window today!
